Our mission

We believe in the advancement of community development by promoting social inclusion and work with people in Berkshire who are socially excluded, and feel isolated, on the grounds of their ethnic origin, or religion and to relieve the needs of such people and assist them to integrate into society positively without losing their culture values. To provide them with a local network group and social activities that supports and enables members to participate fully with the community.

The key to acheive this is by promotion of religious, racial harmony, equality and diversity by promoting good relations between persons of different racial groups and through the elimination of discrimination on the grounds of age, sex or sexual orientation and enabling people of one faith to understand the religious beliefs of others.

We actively participte in relieving of poverty among the Muslim and Arab community living in Berkshire by providing guidance, advice, support and signposting to sources of help with health, housing, education and employment. Providing families with items such as furniture and clothing needed to establish their lives here in the UK.

The relief and assistance of people in particular, in the Arab world who are the victims of conflict or natural disaster, trouble or catastrophe.

We aim for the advancement of Education by promoting, sustaining and increasing individuals, in particularly young Arabs, knowledge and understanding of the Arabic language and culture while maintaining the advancement of religion by the provision of places of worship, raising awareness and understanding of Islamic beliefs and practices.

Our Story

Berkshire Muslim Arab Community Association was established and founded by Arab Muslims who felt the need to have such an association to help them and their children, both those resident in Berkshire, or the temporarily staying in the area, to integrate with the British society without losing their Arabic Muslim identity. The organisation has close relations with all Muslim groups in Berkshire and organize Taraweeh & Eid prayers every year. BMACA was the lead to form Reading Muslim Forum for Moon Sighting. BMACA offers many services and activities such as; Islamic & Cultural, Social, Sports, Children & Youth activities. Its activities are not limited to Arabs or Muslims only but are available to every one.
